Biographical Sketch

Kathryn (Kat) is currently working as a Research Associate on the NRLC project on two alcohol studies examining mechanisms underlying binge alcohol drinking (Alcohol Binging: Disruptions in Impulse Control and 5-HT as Underlying Mechanisms, R01AA018124) and methods to reduce this harmful pattern of alcohol consumption (Binge Drinking: Individual Differences in the Capacity to Alter Drinking Patterns, R01AA014988-07). 

Previously, Kat worked at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) as a Research Associate I in the Cognitive Aging Lab examining prospective memory and false memory in young and older adults. At UTSA, she also worked as an Experimental Lab Instructor. Her Master’s thesis focused on false memories; more specifically, on explaining the lack of modality effect among older adults.
